Wild Culture, Sunday in the Park
AIRIE invites the public to experience Wild Culture, a site specific program designed to connect the performances of our fellows in the Everglades with the public. Performances and installa- tions offer the public the opportunity to learn more about our cultural history and current environmental concerns through thoughtful, creative programming. The Furies of the Swamp by Christina Pettersson (Dec ’15), a performance highlighting the dark history of the Florida plume hunters, in which dancers portraying swamp spirits descend from a glades skiff upon a hunting camp reenactment.
